McSweeney's 27 cover

I'm kinda stoked about the cover (spine and back cover) for McSweeney's 27 I did which just posted on their web site. I also did the first letter that begins each story - though I think you have to buy it to see it. I posted it a little bigger here, but Adam Baumgold is going to attempt to sellg it at the Red Dot art fair this week in Manhattan.

Sunday, March 30, 2008 update: I just blew up the image so the tiny stuff inside the rooms is easier to see.

PEN with nibs

Someone asked me to post an image of my pen (???) - but here it is. It's a crappy plastic holder with a Gillott 290 nib inside.

Postcard for May solo show

Adam Baumgold Gallery is previewing a bunch of work for the May 1 show at Red Dot Art Fair, March 27 - 30, Room #113 Park South Hotel: 122 E. 28th Street (btwn. Park and Lex.). I guess that's why the postcard is being printed so early.

Tiny (color) Alphaville and (big) Alphaville title drawing sketch

MIddle: A sketch for one last huge ink/watercolor drawing for my May 1 solo show at Adam Baumgold Gallery. Top: Another (finally) watercolored 9" x 11" canal-room-aqueduct drawing. The show will be called
Alphaville and since the main character in Jean-Luc Godard's 1965 film Alphaville, is named Lemmy Caution - I'm going to put lots of potted lemon trees throughout the new one. Also because I like drawing potted lemon trees. Bottom: The first two days of work on the large Alphaville drawing - which is just in the planning/pencil stages.

U & L in color

I love a good pimp hat in my L's. I drew the pot bellied stove, which reminded me of a stove pipe hat, and after drawing that - I couldn't resist drawing the purple pimp hat next to it.
